Circle Solutions Trainer Course: Build In-House Expertise for Sustainable Wellbeing and Social Emotional Learning

As a school leader, you know that student wellbeing, emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and healthy relationships are not optional extras — they are foundational to learning. Yet many schools rely on isolated initiatives or short-term interventions that do not create the cultural shift needed for lasting impact.

The Circle Solutions Trainer Course gives your school something far more powerful: trained internal leaders who can embed a consistent, research-informed wellbeing approach across every classroom.

This two-day course prepares selected members of your staff to confidently deliver the Introductory Circle Solutions training to others, ensuring that your school no longer depends on external providers to sustain SEL practices. Instead, you develop a cadre of skilled, confident facilitators who understand both the theory and the pedagogy and can guide your staff through meaningful practice.

Throughout the training, participants explore how the ASPIRE principles — Agency, Safety, Positivity, Inclusion, Respect and Equity — can become the shared foundation of relational behaviour, wellbeing, and classroom culture.

They examine how Circle Solutions supports both student and teacher mental health, strengthens emotional resilience, and builds stronger peer and adult relationships.

Participants walk through the entire Introductory Day step by step, gaining a clear understanding of what is involved, how to plan their input, and how to deliver training with confidence. They learn to anticipate challenges and prepare colleagues to run Circles effectively. They work with facilitation checklists, planning tools, and implementation strategies designed to maximise sustainability.

By the end of this two-day course, your staff will:
• Understand how ASPIRE drives wellbeing across the whole school
• Recognise how Circle Solutions enhances wellbeing for students and teachers alike
• Know how to introduce Circles in ways that align with the needs of teachers, students and parents
• Be equipped to plan, deliver and evaluate Circle Solutions training sessions
• Have explored resources that support SEL and build capacity
• Have detailed knowledge of the theoretical, practical and interactive components of the Introductory Day
• Have reflected on next steps for implementing and embedding Circles in their own setting

What your school gains by investing in this course

◾A sustainable, in-house SEL model
Instead of depending on external trainers, your school gains internal experts who can deliver the training, mentor colleagues, and ensure ongoing practice.

◾A coherent, schoolwide wellbeing approach
Circle Solutions provides a structure and common language that aligns behaviour, pastoral care, inclusion and teaching practices.

◾Better learning conditions for students
Improved emotional regulation, stronger relationships, increased empathy, and safer classroom climates directly support engagement, attention and academic progress.

◾Improved teacher wellbeing and reduced workload
Teachers benefit from clearer routines, more positive relationships and fewer behavioural challenges — all of which reduce stress and enhance professional satisfaction.

◾Alignment with strategic priorities
This course supports safeguarding, inclusion, positive behaviour frameworks and whole-school wellbeing policies.

◾Long-term cultural change
Schools that embed Circle Solutions report improved climate, enhanced belonging, and stronger community relationships that endure year after year.

This is not just another training course. It is an investment in your school’s culture, capacity and future wellbeing. By empowering staff to lead Circle Solutions from within, you build a resilient, connected and emotionally healthy learning community — one that supports every student and every adult to thrive.
