The drivers of Ideas Roadshow have an academic background in physics, philosophy, and law. They’ve hosted and filmed in-depth conversations with more than 100 top researchers across the arts and sciences, including three Nobel Laureates. From those conversations they’ve created fully accessible video resources that go beyond the standard curriculum to enrich classes, bring teaching to life, and provide effective tools for professional development and learning.
Both teachers and students strongly engage with captivating insights into the world of frontline research across a wide range of disciplines while at the same time learning about the inspirations and personal journeys behind the research. Both the School Portal and the IBDP Portal each contain over 750 interdisciplinary videos and accompanying materials, which can be accessed through a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate.
Ideas Roadshow's Portals also offer a large spectrum of PD materials, including a wide range of explanatory videos featuring world-leading researchers specializing in autism, Asperger syndrome, ADHD, schizophrenia, suicide, bilingualism, bullying, grieving, positive/negative emotions, competition, peer pressure, the science of learning, sleep science, memory improvement, social psychology, growth/fixed mindset, and more.
In addition, the Portals offer videos on how to improve teaching history, psychology, physics, and other subjects, plus a range of videos highlighting how top researchers were inspired by their teachers to follow their passions, which led them to become the top experts in their chosen fields that they are today.
